How to engage readers in the digital age - Interesting presentation on the publishing business

I have posted before about the end of the newspapers and the fundamental changes the publishing business is facing. Here is a keynote by Shiv Singh held at the Digital Book World Conference in New York this week. Although the conference was mainly meant for book publishers the arguments are pretty similar.

The presentation focuses on how social media is forcing the publishers to rethink their value chain and their position as B2B companies. The main hypothesis: They need to become B2C players as well. The whole presentation is below. Enjoy.
